The United States Dance Sport Championships (USDSC)
brings the Worlds best dancesport athletes to America. British Dance Council The British Dance Council was formed in 1929 as the Official Board of Ballroom Dancing (OBBD). The name was subsequently changed in 1985 to the British Council of Ballroom Dancing and, again in 1996, the name was changed to British Dance Council. The aim of the teachers who formed the Council was to establish a co-ordinating organisation to enable teachers to work together on uniform lines. National Dance Council of America The official governing body for dancing in the United States. Its purpose is to provide, on a nation-wide basis, a united inter-association agency to represent the interests of those in the dance profession and other dance-related entities and organizations and to act as the agency for cooperation with similar councils in other countries. Professional Dancers Federation The specific purpose of the PDF is to; (a) foster the spirit of good fellowship and sportsmanship, and to protect the interests of professionals, such as competitors, adjudicators, scrutineers, organizers and promoters involved in competitive dancing; and (b) to further the goodwill and cooperation between the members of the Professional Dancers Federation and the National Dance Council of America and all who utilize the professional services of the Professional Dancers Federation. United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association Serves as the National Governing Body for amateur ballroom dancing and DanceSport, the competitive version of ballroom dancing, in the United States United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance coordinate and develop the interests of teachers of International Style Ballroom dancing, American Style Ballroom dancing, the Latin-American Style, American Rhythm Style and Theatrical Style on the North American continent within the standards established by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, London |
